Ludwig Wittgenstein ended his Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus with the words “Wovon man nicht sprechen kann, darüber muß man schweigen.” meaning “What we cannot speak of, we must pass over in silence.” He concluded that with the Tractatus he had resolved all philosophical problems, and upon its publication he retired to become a schoolteacher in Austria.
